In the World of Medical Tourism

Medical Tourism in Korea has grown from hundreds of patients a few short years ago, to an estimated 200,000 by 2012 thanks to a boom in cosmetic surgery and the fast growth in capabilities and new technologies such as stem cell research, anti-aging, transplant and advanced cancer and other surgical treatments. Korea is a world leader in several of these areas and boasts a higher life expectancy than the US according to 2011 OECD figures. Medical outcomes for  liver and gastric cancers,  are on par with and even exceed levels in the industrialized West, including several well known Medical Centers in America.
